Solbia is a made up country. I invented the imaginary eastern European principality as part of a collaborative project with a group of other designers. The brief was to make up a country each, a land mass, a global location, population etc. Our task was to make a company that was representative of the country’s ideals. Solbia was a hard working industrial country so I made an identity for the nationalised steel production company. I wanted the identity to emanate strength, power and simplicity. The culmination of the project was a new map illustrating out world and representative graphics.
