DF Poster Competition Winner
Posted 18 Jun 2009 - 5 Gratefully received comments
The result of the Design Forums poster competition was announced today, and I was delighted to find out that one of my designs was chosen as the winner.

Berry, the DF member that set the brief and judged the entries, said the following about the design: “While there were some cracking entries I felt Ken’s typographic treatment was interesting and different as well as being very succinct and simple at the same time. It is a poster that I believe people would want/buy for themselves but also could be in Quentin’s (Tarantino) spirit of non conformity. I also judge any winners work with the simple ethos of the “I wish I did that” rule.”
I’m particularly proud of winning when I look at the overall standard of the entries.
Thanks to DF for organising a great competition, and I hope that it’s the first of many in the future. Go and check out Design Forums for yourself, maybe you’ll win the next one.

I'm a freelance graphic designer living and working in Suffolk.
I've been using Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign & Quark Xpress since 1999 but I've been using pens, pencils, paper and most importantly my imagination for a lot longer. I'm always looking for new clients to work with and interesting projects to work on.

Congratulations Ken! good work and well deserved!

Cheers, Greg.
Funnily enough I have to pick up a parcel from the post office today. So hopefully that’ll be the prizes. Looking forward to leafing through the typo book. My Fiance has already earmarked the wolverine files though, so I’ll have to wait for that one.
