I’m pleased to be able to share a recent design project with you.
The client is UAE Touch, they are an organisation attempting to introduce the sport of touch rugby (known simply as touch for confusing legal reasons), to the United Arab Emirates.

Touch is a fun, non-contact, teamwork driven game that requires very little equipment to play and focusses on fundamental physical skills. It’s ideal for children and adults alike. In fact it is one of the few sports in the world where men and women play together on the same team.

My task was to create a corporate identity that would give a unifying image to all of the work needed to begin promoting a little known sport across an entire country.
It needed to appear professional, organised, be easily relatable to the nation it is targeted at, while hinting at the athletic ethos of the sport.

“It’s hard to know where to start when complimenting not only the work that Ken produced for us, but also the professionalism with which he delivered it. We brought our project to Ken jaded from a bad experience with a flashy but ultimately no-substance designer – with a deadline of 48 hours to boot. To complicate matters further, we are based in the U.A.E, had never personally met Ken before, and had to rely on email exchanges to manage the whole process. During the design phase we were given a number of options to consider – all were excellent – providing reassurances that we weren’t being shoehorned into a design we weren’t completely happy with. Ken’s technical expertise in terms of understanding the various end-use mediums (from web to print to merchandise) and ensuring cross compatibility/fluidity accordingly was invaluable. The speed with which Ken can turn even the most complicated tasks around is unparallelled, as is the on-going support after the final designs were delivered. And Ken is a pleasure to deal with personally. We couldn’t recommend Ken’s services more highly, especially to international clients.”

Who's Ken?

Picture of Ken I'm a freelance graphic designer living and working in Suffolk. I've been using Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign since 1999 but I've been using pens, pencils, paper and most importantly my imagination for a lot longer.
